Yates Complete Insect Control works on contact to kill surface pests in a addition to working systemically to absorb into grass and roots to kill pests in the soil. The unique formula provides continuing season long protection against pests.

How to use

How to use

Measure lawn area before application. Apply Yates Complete Lawn Insect Control and water in thoroughly. DO NOT mow treated lawn for three days. Rain after spraying enhances control of the pests.

SITUATION PEST RATE WHEN TO APPLY
Lawns Grass Grub Apply the contents of this 500mL bottle over 150m2 The optimum application time is from peak egg hatch to the young grub stage which occurs from early spring to early summer.
Porina Apply whenever larvae are present, usually between early summer and late autumn.
African Black Beetle (larvae and adults) For larvae, apply between mid spring and late summer.
For adults, apply whenever beetles are present, usually in spring.
Armyworm / Cutworm Water the lawn before applying anytime between late spring and late autumn.
Webworm Apply from mid-summer to late autumn.
Argentine Stem Weevil(larvae and adults) Apply from early spring to mid-autumn.
Billbug The optimum application time is at the peak of adult activity or when small (4mm) larvae are present in thatch or the soil surface. This occurs between late spring and early summer.
Crickets and Ants Apply in late afternoon when pests are evident.

How to prepare and apply

  1. Shake well before applying.
  2. Connect hose to hose-on applicator. You will need to have a click-on hose connector.
  3. Lift plastic flap at front of applicator.
  4. Turn on the tap using moderate to high water pressure. Water mixes automatically with concentrate in the proper ratio.
  5. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back towards the tap to avoid walking over wet, treated grass.
  6. Walk and spray lawns at a steady pace whilst sweeping the spray in a back and forth arc. Overlap treated areas slightly.
  7. Keep bottle upright; do not point at the ground.
  8. Close plastic flap to prevent spillage of any unused product before storing. Always store product upright.

Caution

DO NOT allow children under the age of 2 to come into contact with treated lawn before it is mowed. DO NOT allow chemical containers or spray to get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds. DO NOT spray if bees are feeding
on flowering plants. Will kill bees. DO NOT feed lawn clippings to poultry or livestock.

Storage & disposal

Keep out of reach of children. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. Dispose of empty container by wrapping in paper, placing in plastic bag and putting in garbage.

First aid

If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. For advice, contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If splashed in eyes, wash out immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
