Swede 'Champion Purple Top'

Large, tender purple and cream roots. Ideal for soups and stews. A hardy variety.

Position

Full sun.

Sow

Sow direct into rows. Cover with Yates Seed Raising Mix and keep soil moist.

Care

Prefers a deep, well drained soil in a warm, frost-free position. Enrich with Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser at planting. Prepare soil with Lime plus Peat or compost. For best flavour, harvest after the first heavy winter frosts. Water well in early stages. Use roots while young and tender. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.
