what situation is best for planting gerberas?

I live in Richmond, Nelson, my flower garden faces south /west, therefore gets the hot summer afternoon and evening sun, would this be a good situation to plant gerberas?

Hi,  Gerberas thrive in warm sunny situations, so as long as they receive adequate sunlight, they should grow and flower well. Good drainage is essential and compost should be added to the soil before planting. All the best, Yates.
