We live in Rarotonga and have lots of Hibiscus trees with one tree infected quite badly and another one just starting so we want to get onto it. We have them mixed with other shrubs as hedging

To treat mites on hibiscus, we recommend Yates Lime Sulfur - Insect and Disease Control. It will control a range of insect pests and fungal diseases on roses & ornamentals, citrus, grapevines, apples, some stone fruits, tomatoes & vegetables. The most effective way to control Erineum mites on hibiscus plants is to prune the plant during winter, whilst dormant. The shrub will form new leaves which will harden up before the mites are active again, making them more resilient to attack.
Healthy and well-fed plants are less prone to pest and disease attack. Apply the Yates Thrive Natural Seaweed Tonic to help strengthen the hibiscus and help it recover from pruning. This will also assist the plant through the cool winter.
