This afternoon when I got home my dad kindly helped me out by picking up a large trailer load of post peelings and delivering it to me. I feel like I've waited so long for this to be able to be squeezed into my budget so to say I was excited over a pile of post peelings is probably an understatement haha. It was getting close to dinner time so for now I've dumped them onto a large tarp and will wheelbarrow them around to the back gardens tomorrow or Friday morning. I'm going to use the post peelings around the base of my raised vegetable gardens.
Because I was late with getting dinner started, we opted for a simple dinner - haloumi wraps or rainbow wraps, as Luke fondly calls them. Luke proudly picked a mix of lettuce leaves from his garden and we also used one of our cucumbers. It won't be too much longer and we'll have tomatoes, as well as capsicum ripening up too. I really do need to get out into the garden to take some updated photos. Everything is growing so quickly now. Instead, I spent my usual hour hand watering only for it to rain heavily not long after haha.
Tomorrow is our last day of term so I'm looking forward to ticking off several jobs on Friday morning. :)
