Sow into very moist pots or trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix, and transplant into pots when 3-4cm tall. Place the pots into a larger container, and fill with water almost to the top of the pots.
Watercress prefers fresh water, so change the water every few days. Grow in Sun or semi-shade. Feed plants regularly with Yates Thrive Vegie & Herb Liquid Plant Food. Cut stems regularly to promote new growth. Protect from snails and slugs.
Add Yates Thrive Natural Yates Thrive Natural Garden Lime to pots once a year. Watercress can be grown in moist garden soil, but has a less bitter taste if grown in a tub of water. Watercress harvested wild from watercourses may harbour parasites from livestock, so it makes sense to grow it at home.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct Sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
