An old favourite, Topweight is a vigorous grower with a crisp, rich orange root, and a distinctive pointy taper. Delicious flavour, especially when young. Strong topped, and resistant to bolting, Topweight is a reliable choice for all regions.
Sow direct in a Sunny, well drained position. Cover with Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix, firm down and moisten. Thin after 4 weeks. Sow successive crops at 4-5 weekly intervals.
Cultivate soil well before sowing as deep, well-drained soils give best results. Add Yates Thrive Natural Blood & Bone to soil before sowing to help ensure a good crop. Protect from snails and slugs.
To aid germination, maintain even moisture by laying a plank of wood over row. Remove after germination.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct Sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
