The rain didn't stop me from going on a good hunt. Started the day out in the vegetable patch hunting out weeds around the carrots and spinach, in my dressing gown I might add, then that made me harvest the spinach, which lead me round to our second little patch to collect the cauliflowers and broccoli that were ready. I noticed that too need a good weeding out so I got stuck into that. I then proceeded to carry on (since I was already wet) and moved onto the flower beds. Productive day today but it wasn't over, while on my missions I noticed a few snails. I set off tonight about 8:45pm to start my snail hunt, singing "I'm going on a snail hunt!! I'm gonna catch a big one!!" (in my head, don't want the neighbours to know I'm a little bit gardening crazy... just yet). Hubby had to check I was still there and made me come inside, 1 and a half hours later, I came inside with a nice fresh bag of snails, and 1 slug. I'm thinking I may have to set out some snail bait on the next sunny day. I wasn't the only one going hunting today, my darling cats brought me a sparrow and a rather large rat.
