I'm sure that in a few short months time I won't be as excited to find a zucchini, but for now I'll revel in my excitement!!
I was beginning to get a bit disheartened - I had given away lots of tomatoes, zucchini, kale and sprouting broccoli plants before going away, but then didn't get around to planting mine out before heading away for a long weekend (I'm still getting used to how much time it takes to pack for a baby with a baby in tow!)... so the poor seedlings were subjected to some serious neglect while it was super hot.
I've had photos of the ones I've given to friends and they're looking SO MUCH happier than mine - but slowly I've nursed them back from the brink of death and not the zucchini is rewarding me with the first of our truly summer vegetables!
