Feels like it's been forever since I've been on here! A few post to catch up on, but not before I put in my potatoes. I attended a market garden course over the weekend (second time doing it), and learned so much more that I never took in the first time. I was a bit more prepared for this one and recorded the whole thing for reviewing later as I come across things I may need some guidance on. After attending, my enthusiasm seemed to have picked up, so i knuckled down and spent the day digging trenches for my gold mine of Maori potatoes (7 varieties), 18 seed potatoes for each variety and one with 12 and a double up on one which is meant to be purple on the inside. I have finally planted my dwarf mandarin tree and pomegranate tree which was done under the moon light. I'm sore but glad it's all coming together. The corn I planted out is looking a little bit sad, not as green as I was hoping. I need to work on my soil a lot more. Too much clay and not enough loam soil here. I'm slowly working in some compost and manure but if you have any other suggestions or tips to help I'd love to hear them.
