One of the things I most love about gardening is growing new to me plants whether they are vegetables or flowers.
lst year I bought a punnet of bulb fennel to try growing as I had not grown it in my garden before and it has been a hit. very easy to grow too.
We love it roasted with other root vegetables and I also use the fern parts to add flavour to dressings like tzatziki.
I have already bought a packet of seeds so that I can grow some in the summer to add to salads. If you haven't grown fennel before it's worth giving them a go.
