After weeks and weeks of dry sunny weather and doing my best to keep the garden watered, it has been raining. It is a welcome relief as you can’t beat the deep soaking a good rain can give. But with only 2 weeks left of summer it does make it feel a little like the beginning of the end.
Having said that, the interruption to the endless summer feeling helps to get seeds started for the new season. It makes it feel like it is the right time. If you are unsure what you can grow now check out https://www.yates.co.nz/products/seeds/vegetables/ select February or even March and adjust the filters to suit your climate and garden conditions, you will find all the vegetables you can start in your garden this month.
We also find ourselves in yet another lockdown. Hopefully, this will one will be short lived, and we can go back to some kind of normal again soon. But in the meantime, a garden is a great place to lose yourself to the woes of the world for a while.
Stay safe and dry.
Happy Gardening.
