I am so excited about the perennial border that I have been working on. It is tucked against the old stone wall that runs around 2 sides of my veggie garden. I have followed the wall with sleepers and have been bucketing in some bought soil, and filling the paths with tree mulch. I still have a fair bit more to do, but that southerly blew through rather dramatically this afternoon, so I hastily put my tools away.
This narrow bed will be planted with more unusual perennial veg. and herbs, and stuffed with peonies, dahlias, sunflowers and cosmos .... for me and the beneficial insects. Can't wait until the weather clears and I can get back to it.
