I'm not fond of broad beans but my mother loves them. She eats them raw straight from the pod and lightly cooked. So every year I plant them for her and give them all away.
I am planting them a bit later this year but sometimes sowing seeds has to fit around all the other spring garden jobs.
I'm just hoping that we don't get too much wind as these broad beans grow about one metre tall.
I think half the fun of gardening is growing to share with others.
