I haven't really had much time to think let alone garden. With weather,

work and kids. I'm glad school is back tomorrow but I have enjoyed the time with the kids playing teacher, but I can gladly say good bye to the winging and attitudes.

Garden wise everything I've seeded has seemed to come through all at once! I was starting to think my seeds may have succumbed to rot or were too old. But thank goodness we have lift off!! Tomatoes, beans, silver beet, radish, beetroot, broccoli, corn and cauliflower have made an appearance. Thought I'd try my luck with watermelon, eggplant and zucchini. That are all in the tunnel house at the moment so fingers crossed that it is warm enough in there for them. My next issue is going to be finding the right spots for them. I have no frame for the beans so thinking of using the corn and trying the 3 sisters system (corn, beans and squash but think it'll be crown pumpkins). The wind blows a gale through the area I'm preparing at the moment but hoping the broccoli, cauliflower and silver beet will be able to withstand it.

It's been a cold night at work and the rain and hail looks like it's going to be here for the night so I think I'll go snuggle up in my warm bed and wonder how the garden is coping with the weather!
