Preparing for a mini-break

This morning I have been preparing the gardens and seedlings for when we're away for a few days.

My eldest is kindly going to water the seedlings, feed the animals and generally look after the place for us.

I have given everything a good, deep water so she won't have to water the gardens. Night temps are looking ok while we're away, so I will leave the tunnel's and greenhouse doors open so nothing cooks during the day!

I have also given my seedlings a butt chug (watering from below) with seaweed tonic, to make sure they are watered well. To do this I sat them in a large container with the seaweed tonic for a good 20-30 minutes. Then let them drain well. This is a long process and has taken me all morning!

Most of my seedlings have been potted on into bigger pots, so they hopefully won't dry out too much. I just have one tray of seeds that have either just germinated or still waiting/won't.

I won't lie, I'm a little nervous about leaving them, but they are going to be left in capable hands. Will be interesting to see how much of a difference in growth I'll see when im back, because I haven't looked at them multiple times a day!
