I was looking at what's going on in my tunnel house since it was a while ago I had a proper look at how things are doing. I've noticed that my tomatoes seeds have had about 85% germination rate, which is good since I sowed more than needed, mizuna had gone to seed as well as the daikon radish, broccoli is nearly ready. I'm hoping that I don't get called to work tomorrow so I can give the tunnel house a much needed makeover. I'm thinking of changing to a drip system instead of the sprinklers as I got hit with fungus/mould in here last spring/summer. I really need to put in something for the beans to climb up as they are nearly ready to be transplanted. Chickens are out scratching over some of my empty beds where I've put the compost bin in the middle, they're doing a great job killing weeds and fertilising at the same time. Carrots have taken over a month to pop up and doesn't look like much hope for the turnips, think i sowed far to early but lesson learned. I'm loving the longer days I've managed to get yet another 3 wheelbarrows of stones out, I'm placing/dumping them up the driveway under the trees. We have a long driveway canopy of trees which is full of agapanthus, few bald spots so they're good for filling in the gaps and hopefully smother them out.
