The Spring Blossoms Wait!

Blog Type:Mini Challenge - Meet the Neighbours, Flowers

We have a stunning Cherry Blossom outside our front door, and she's nearly in bloom (queue Wellington winds right on time!). The variety is the Prunus 'Shirotae', which is the Mt Fuji Cherry.

It loves it's spot and when in bloom it's just this saturated in gorgeous white blooms, and if the Wellington wind plays up the lawn looks like it's covered in snow.

What I love most is that we know Spring is here when she blooms, and the lighter, warmer nights are nearly here.

The weekend is nearly here, and all my summer seeds arrived this week, so looking forward to some planning and planting this weekend. Get those tomatoes, chillies, peppers, and cucumbers started!!
