WATERING IN OCTOBER

Hot and dry today. The garden looked a little parched this evening, so on went the sprinkler for a while - madness, given it is still only october.

Will start morning waterings tomorrow. Oh for a present like Sarah's, this birthday!

Bean, pea and zucchini seedlings nearly ready to plant out, so today I started to weed the lupin patch in preparation. The lupins will be chopped as mulch soon....actually probably should do that tomorrow, as the green material needs to sit for about 3 weeks before planting into it.

I usually let the lupins grow to about 1 metre high, and chop just before flowering... gives alot more green material. But I was a bit late this year.
