Introducing Maisie... always been a keen little gardener, but also growing up and tik tok and who knows what can distract her from the outdoors, so over the weekend, given it was so sunny I suggested she might like to go through the seed boxes and decide on what she's going to grow this summer!

Now the thing to know about Maisie - she's a fussy eater! Vegetables and Maisie are limited to corn🌽, carrots🥕, the 'leaves' of broccoli 🥦(she eats the 'tops of the tree' in her words 🤣), Peas 🫛 - but only raw and freshly picked! AND finally potatos but only oven fries - not actual potatos 🥔 ... Fruit a different story thankfully....a story for another day when strawberries 🍓are in abundance, and don't make them from picking to the house as they all get eaten on the way!!

.... Anyway - whatever Maisie grows she'll typically eat because she grew it - so I'm intrigued what will happen when the Yates Eggplant 🍆 are ready for picking and cooking!! 🤣😂 ... and she also is trying the Yates Broccoli Seed Tape... I haven't grown Broccoli from seed tape - Anyone else tried? How did you go?

🌻🌻🌻 The rest of her planting was dozens of sunflower seeds, all mixed up by the time I realised what she was doing - so varying heights and colours, into trays for starters as Sunflower typically don't like our Wellington garden till November when its warmer and less snails snacking ....So it will be interesting to plant them out eventually and see what we have growing!! 🌻🌻🌻

Rainy today ....sigh... good for watering the gardens, but not much else!  Hope the weather for everyone else is better!

(and yes, that is scissors sticking out of the lawn ...only just noticed... would be a Maisie Moment)
