Remember those potatoes a client gave me, two posts back? I spent 4 glorious hours in the garden on Sunday and finally got them planted. I've had the mound sitting there for a few months, it has seaweed on the bottom and then layers of grass clippings, veggie scraps and poor condition soil from another part of my garden. It seems to be fairly well composted and is full of worms so I dug a trench down the middle and added that soil/compost to another bed, then placed my potatoes and covered them with soil. I look forward to eating more from my land this summer!! Next mission is to prepare three more beds and start more seeds, I neglected tomatoes last time!
