me, however... well this morning I have managed to plant out the wee punnet Yates Sugarsnap Peas that were sown at the beginning of October...
It's very 'bad' gardening on my part as popped them in where I have a few white flowering broad beans sown ... those have roots starting to shoot now... I'm hoping the peas will grow up tall and thrive despite the broad beans being in the same spot.
I kind of just 'gave up' for a couple of days last week after unexpected midnight marauderers munched through many of my seedlings ... but you can't stay in that space for long when you have other things needing to go in the ground...
Howeverhave had some success with my sickly looking scorpion pepper/chilli. Manhandled it most brutally ( apparently that is not what one should do when transplanting chills lol) ... there were two very intertwined chillies in the pot and one very tiny other seedling. So no time to be delicate, separated them all and popped the two bigger ones into either end of the white garden ( as I know how big they will get if they survive - the parent plant I took seeds from was in the landlords glasshouse) To my surprise they have survived the manhandling and are starting to green up nicely!
I had a very fine looking eggplant arrive via courier ... thought this week there was something wrong with it as the main stalk was all bent over ... but this morning realised it is a massive flower! Not sure whether you remove the first flower or not. I only bought one plant, wondering if I should have bought a couple more for pollination purposes? I like eggplant as a healthy way to bulk out things like spaghetti bolognaise
Going to hopefully pot on the Yates 'Thai Basil' ( or Holy Basil) today sometime... fantastic germination success with that! Was from some seed Sarah sent me last season.
The No Face garden by the studio steps has morphed into a space for culinary herbs and strawberries so will pop some of the seedlings in there like I did last Summer.
