Soo... it turns out that my seedlings are growing up too fast. It feels like only yesterday that they popped out of the ground and started to grow. Like little newborns they filled me with joy and needed my care and protection.
And then all of a sudden they are teenagers, outgrowing their pots and wanting to leave home.
Soo... the planting begins. I know it's a bit early, but here in Northland it's been Hot Hot Hot and 'touch wood' we have not experienced a frost at our place even in Winter.
The first garden is Yates Pink Popcorn, drunken woman lettuce, little gem lettuce and some beetroot.
This year I'm trialing hay for mulch as I can trade the neighbors eggs for hay. I don't normally mulch the beds but I have a sneaky feeling it could be hot and dry up here and we are on tank water.
Oh and turns out I overplanted the corn. This is only half of it. I'm determined to make space for the rest as it is delicious!
