I have a confession to make:
I am more of a flower person than a vege person.
I tried. My practical brain tells me that it makes sense (and saves cents) to grow as much of our own veges as we can. Ever since we moved to our current house 6 years ago, I've tried and mostly failed to get the vege garden up and running.
Then my sons school did a fundraiser selling seeds. Wildflower seeds. So we got some and sprinkled them around in a couple of gardens. Those tiny seeds grew and flowered and haven't stopped flowering since! We have all loved having flowers around the house and the kids love picking them to go in our tiny vases. All through winter we had flowers!
So I still try to grow veges, and this year is shaping up to be better than most, but I am also growing and planting flower seeds, because I don't think I could go back to having just greenery around the house!
