I'm super excited as our chocolate cosmos has just started to bloom again and it does not disappoint. How a flower can smell like chocolate still fills me with childlike wonder.
I grew this from a packet of seeds that I got last year. At $5 for 5 seeds I thought they were pricey but I managed to get 4 to germinate. Lost 1 plant and gave one away so I still have 2. They are perennial and form a tuber so I hope to enjoy them for many seasons to come. Might even see if they can be divided.
The orange cosmos is a photo from last year. I have seedlings growing from collected seeds ready to plant out. I'm pretty sure it's a cosmos. It grows taller than me and really puts on a display. Great for our bank and for the bees.
And finally there is a picture of our next batch of lettuce ready to go out. I think I may have nailed the successive planting as our first lot is just about to bolt.
