You have all been so productive, looking forward to reading your posts in my next break.

Spent an hour pulling out weeds and snails in the main vege bed before the wasps arrived. Then got permission to pick a few lemons from the landlords tree to make a bit of lemonade for us to enjoy. Looked so pretty I had to paint it first.

Now off to find a peeler and get cracking.

To make 15 liters ... peel 10ish lemons ( no pith... use a potato peeler)

Place peel in a large bowl. Add sugar to taste ... i might maybe add a cup or so)

Halve the peeled lemons across ways. Place a seive over the bowl. Squeeze the lemons so the juice runs through the seive into the bowl. Discard ( or plant) the pips ๐Ÿ˜„ and lemon leftovers ( mix pips with tea leaves prior to planting for the tannin)

Give the bowl a good stir. Pour into a large container ( im using a glass drink dispenser bought with the last of my birthday money ... is lidded to keep flies etc out and will wipe vaseline around the base to stop ants in their tracks ... they wont go over a vaseline barrier ... works for potted plant saucers too)

Add in either lemon balm or mint ... a good handful

Add your water. Stir again to combine

Good to make ahead of time and allow for flavours to infuse before drinking. Refreshing. Add icecubes with borage frozen inside for a pretty effect.

Note... the lemons should really be to be spray free as you are using the rind ... orange peel is also a nice addition but again, make sure it is organically grown and spray free .

Ps... This is not a fizzy lemonade ... if you need the fizz either add sparkling water or the like or carbonate with something like a sodastream ๐Ÿ™‚
