Hi everyone, I'm Natalie and I live on a lifestyle block in Central Otago in the South Island.

This is my first year at growing fruit, vegetables and flowers in our garden. I started sowing seeds inside on the 19th of August in propagators I purchased from Mitre10. I have then transferred the seedlings into trays and placed them in my glasshouse as there is still a risk of frost.

The plants I currently have growing from seed are red cabbage, white cabbage, cauliflower, kale,  spinach, brown onion, red onion, broccoli, cos & iceberg lettuce, mesclun mix, sweetcorn, tomato, cucumber, leek, spring onion, sage, rosemary, sweet william and echinacea.

I have also planted peas, chives, mint, oregano, parsley, raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries, blueberries and strawberries outside and have agria and jersey benne potatoes sprouting.

I am looking forward to sharing my progress through the growing season and hope to gain some knowledge and tips from this community of gardners.
