The crime:
The cold blooded murder of 3 lettuce and attemped murder of 3 more. Charge may be upgraded if the 3 injured lettuce don't pull through.
Some time between 8pm and 8am 6 lettuce were brutally attacked. They were taken from the greenhouse and left clutching for life on the grass outside
The suspects.
Henrietta The Chicken
Known to escape the coop. A curious chicken who had both motive and opportunity. Loves eating green stuff and was outside at the time of the crime.
Floss The Neighbours Cat
Spends more time at our house than at home at times. Is a career criminal and wanted for pooing in the vege garden. Was kicked out of the house on the night of the crime. Had motive and opportunity - revenge for being put out in the cold.
Indy The Dog
Don't let her innocent face fool you. Known for her insatiable appetite and her desire to literally eat everything. Had both motive and opportunity. Was put outside during the night and the lettuce was planted with Dynamic Lifter.
This is still an open investigation with no charges laid at present. Any witnesses are urged to come forward. Anonymous tips can be put in the comments section below.
