There are little parts of our garden that feel like a secret.
They're not out there saying"look at me". They're not part of the main menu of our landscape. They're little nooks that just quietly get on with doing what they do and then - when you're having a wander around - surprise you with their beauty and charm.
These are two of my favourite nooks.
The first is the corner at the back of our herb garden. Our bay tree and two English lavender just loving the warmth of the stones and their little place in the world.
The second is in a shady part of our flower border. A "My Mum" rose flourishing despite the shade, a dainty little yellow/green nicotiana, some Canterbury bells, catnip and an insect hotel on the fence. All under the shade of a Kowhai and lemonade tree.
These little nooks are such a special part of our garden.
