It has been a glorious sunny day here in Northland today and I must admit I'm stoked it's not raining.
Today was serve day for our church and a day where we head out in the community to do just that... serve. I love it because it's always a fun day and we get to meet new cool people. It could be cleaning someone's yard, preparing food boxes or any number of tasks.
Today we had an opportunity to help out life homes. They do such an awesome job of giving people with intellectual disabilities a home. Not a house but a home if that make sense. They have a large property in Whangarei that needed a lot of garden work. Weeding, pruning, weedeating etc.
The photo is our team and some residents. We managed to clear about 8 trailer loads which was not a bad effort.
So that's the bulk of my gardening for the day.
I did manage to do a little bit when I got home and may have even gone for a swim. Summer is coming. I can feel it in my bones!
