Finally I have found a lull in the last couple of days to sit down and catch up with posts, and look at the lovely luscious gardens.

Yesterday was an early start,  but I did actually manage to spend an hour in the garden before work. We should be back late tomorrow afternoon so  I plan to get a water in, then give it a liquid feed in the morning.

It has been non stop since then  with a school trip, ironically sailing, and at the Sir Peter Blake Regatta all weekend. It's been possibly the roughest seas C has sailed in, but not the strongest winds. He was doing well (top 3) but unfortunately the stays broke so he had to come in. They are being fixed overnight. Z and I spend a few hours aboard Steinlager 2 which was a fantastic experience.  Lion NZ was also on the water with us, along with 360 sailors on a variety of boats.

After not seeing the garden for a few days, I really enjoyed my potter on Friday, and tbh, the downtime and an hour to myself was much needed. The garden really is taking off. The jalapeños look like they've doubled in size within a week; the tomatoes are not at all hindered by their late planting ou; I might be wrong, but my onions are righting themselves; and the vining squash are actually climbing; my beans are halfway up their frames; and the carrots are up.

And, I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this....but I'm pretty sure the garden will probably be checked before the unpacking is done.
