Like so many of you we are looking at cold overnight temperatures here in Whanganui over the next two nights. The Met service is predicting an overnight low of 2 degrees with a frost tonight - not ideal for our potato and tomato crops!
So we have just been out to the garden and tucked up our Swift and Agria potatoes under "blueys" and covered our cucumber and zucchini with bags as well. The tomatoes have been transported into the garage for the night. Not ideal, but hopefully will save them from a frosty fate.
