Knowing that we had more bad weather coming in, I spend a few minutes in the garden the last few mornings securing things.......🤣🤣🤣. Now that is a somewhat familiar phrase. I am not sure how many times I have started posts like that this growing season.

My dahlias have been deadhead to reduce the weight as the wind seems to be coming in from that direction this time. The tomato leaves are pruned once more to create more airflow (with another spray of copper). While I know I still could lose them, as I've said before, I do think the regular spraying has helped to this point. After a discussion with some friends tonight, many have lost their tomatoes up this way, and many are abandoning their hardens completely.. I wish I could solve the temp, and lack of ripening.

The tomatoes are also secured higher up to stakes or secured further from overhead twine.. I also sprinkled some dynamic lifter around the heavier feeders.

Now while I potter in the garden, it is not unusual for me to be joined by one of out four legged family members. Sometimes I enjoy his company. Today was not one of those days. He was rubbing himself up against the grow frames and pushing them and thd signs over. Looking at some of the nets I've used, I am now worried he'll get his head caught in them. Then when I placed my trug down to deadhead the dahlias, I caught him playing in the true. After being growled he took off with the capsicum and then played with it (I will admit I yelled for Connor to get my phone as he looked did look silly).

I have my fingers crossed that we don't have too many more systems coming through in the next few weeks, and we can get that much needed sun to ripen our tomatoes.
