I pulled up all our Kohl Rabi today to make space for the second round of lettuce. If anybody has some great ideas for eating it, I'm keen to hear them. Was wondering if it would roast ok. We have used it grated in a coleslaw before. I have a lot to get through!
Our first lot of lettuce has bolted so round 2 went out today. This is the first year I'm trying shade cloth. I've never had any luck with lettuce over summer and it was only after reading a blog on here this year that I realised I've been doing it all wrong. I'm now wondering if one layer is enough or whether I need to do another layer of shade cloth. Will see what it's like on a sunny day.
Our greenhouse is still pumping out cherry and beefsteak tomatoes. I reckon the main garden is about a week away from giving us some ripe ones. I'm just so nervous about blight with the rain, sun, rain, sun. I need to just stop thinking about it as in the end there is only so much I can control.
