Hi Guys!
Super excited to be here. Thought I'd just take a sec to post a picture of my garden (which you can't see all but a good chunk of it) and introduce myself!
My name is Jordy, I'm 33, I live in the king country / Waikato region on a lifestyle block and I'm super passionate about growing our own food. I have a two (nearly three) year old son who spends most afternoons after work & kindy helping me in the garden. He's only little but he loves helping to weed, water, dig, pick and eat all our fresh pickings! Especially peas and strawberries!
I've always been very much a wing it Gardner, popping things in and hoping for the best, experimenting and just trying different methods, lots of successes and lots of fails but I'm slowly getting more and more knowledge and finally have a fairly decent garden! This year for the first time I really planned my garden, drawing it out and researching every single plant and got quite in depth with companion planting which I think has made a huge difference! I religiously garden by the moon which I swear by. A couple of months ago I treated myself to an 8x12 winter gardenz glass house which I absolutely adore, it's my pride and joy! Right now we are laden with fruit and veg and it is so exciting! Anyway thanks for having me, can't wait to share what we've got growing and see everyone's else's gardens too!
