Having lived here and gardened here for at least 12 years I know we get this crazy weather the winds the early spring hail , taking notes of what happens and when is a great tool for the future , this year the hail was later , the wind horrible but not as bad as 3 years ago when it was 3 months solid , I have learnt that things need to be tough to survive , buildings , animal housing etc , I had a wee shed years ago even screwed to a fence and Waratahs it still ended up being firewood within the year .
I have often wondered how many of those wee $40 greenhouses have done more harm than good to seedlings .
today was a day of doing only the essentials watering and feeding animals , I'm happy to say the bread crate fence is holding up , I did pop a few more stand ins in just incase .and a bit of baking , and just when I was feeling a bit discouraged in came an order for flowers and I managed to come up with this gorgeous mixed bouquet .
