So it's been over a month since I last blogged. My intention was to keep blogging regularly but sometimes life just gets in the way.

To be honest, I've needed to take a little break as we had to make the hard decision to lay our family dog of almost 13 years to rest. This hit our wee family hard as Indy has been around for Haven's entire life so the concept of her no longer being around was hard to grasp.

Needless to say there were many tears in our household and a week where it felt like the colour had been drained from this world. For us, our pets are part of the family. Indy was a much loved family member and a huge part of our lives.

I miss the way she used to bark it me and back chat when I'd tell her off. We would bark at each other as though we were having a full on fight. Strangely I miss the stink bombs she would drop and then exit the room. We are a bit lost when it comes to leftovers on our plates as we have never had to consider what to do with food waste before.

Indy was one in a million. She was kind, loving and full of character.

We have adopted a kitten as we just cannot be without animals in our lives but that does not mean Indy has been forgotten.

Slowly with time, the pain of her absence is dwindling and the joy of her memory is returning.

Hope all is well with everyone else. I shall try to catch up on what has been going on in this little community.
