This year my six year old requested a spot of garden to be his own, so I let him have a bit at the end of the potato garden. First he put in a pepino, and onion and carrot seeds. His seeds promptly got overtaken by rogue potatoes popping up from underneath, which he was thrilled with lol.
Then he put in the lettuces, my husband helped him make the fence around them to stop our ducks from squashing them!
Then he finally got to plant his 'main crop,' the tomatoes! He was very pleased today to see that one of them has its first flowers!
