The last of my fruit trees to blossom is the apple. I didn't plant this tree it came with the property and was so sick it had no leaves, was over grown with jasmine and I couldn't even tell it was an apple! After being cleared and pruned it had one single flower the first year that didn't fruit, on the second year it had 2 apples. This is year 5 and it looks like it might have a few apples this year. It still has an ongoing problem with fluffy aphids I can't seem to rid...they are under the bark and it is planted in clay which is not ideal and doesn't get enough sun But it really is the little apple tree that could and I can't bear to get rid of it.
