Yep...the time has come where it needs to be said  Once again I've been out and about preparing the garden for the impending storm. I also wish hubby's prediction back in October for cyclone's for a  Feb/March cyclone was wrong. As per normal, with that in mind,  the flowers are dead headed, tomatoes tied and sprayed etc etc. I must admit, it is getting to be a somewhat cumbersome task having done this nearly every other week since about September.

The last 24 hours have been somewhat crazy here for us, and someone heart wrenching. Unfortunately, Master C came off his bmx bike last night and broke his collarbone (closed clavicle fracture). Adding to the physical pain, was his dreams shattered.  His Bic Sailing Nationals is due to start tomorrow. He still wants to go as a spectator, and as the motel is sorted, we have decided to go...but will be watching weather closely. It is only a 45 min drive thankfulky  Sadly, bmx nationals is also out, as is swimming sports at school/and zone  (he is very good swimmer too). I will admit it has been hard seeing him hurt both physically and emotionally. I've also lost my gardening buddy for sometime.

In order to keep moving forward, and if I am honest, to distract myself, I finally got around to making our gherkin relish tonight. Many thanks Sue for the recipe.  It is really delicious. A good sized recipe. And very economical to make.
