While I can take credit for planting tomatoes out of season; and a late crop of corn that is fattening up; I can only take half responsibility for the strawberries, and absolutely no responsibility for the beans. That's on Mother Nature.

The corn went in either late Jan or early Feb and has left me totally perplexed. Luckliy its been relatively warm/dry here. Now in season, I generally only get one cob per plant, as they extra cobs never seem to silk at the same time as it tassels. This time, with my dozen plants, I have multiple cobs.

As for the strawberries, these were randomly planted from early runners and a few transplanted plants in summer with no expectations on any fruit jntil next season. My original second bed must have rotted at the roots with all the excess rain (this bed doesn't get as much dunshine as my other one). Today I ate my first berry as I spotted it whilst removing the net cover.

As for the beans...obviously we have some self sown beans in there (blue runners by the looks).

As for the rest of the garden, with the exception of my asparagus ferning, my jalepenos, and kumara still going, things are pretty bare. I'll get there, but for the time being, I needed to take a breather while we settled pups in, and adjusted to a new routines. In a months time, everything should be more relaxed and I will be back on track.
