I have really missed the urgency of getting blogs on here for the Vege Challenge, but I still love the idea of catching up with the community's gardens - if it doesn't continue I will miss you all.
Its been so much fun and the competition element certainly adds some spice and impetus to getting those blogs up regularly. I hope your gardens are growing well, ours is certainly starting to feel like things are starting to sprout and grow again. I have seedlings sheltering in my little plastic greenhouses and our espaliers are all in blossom and attracting bees a-plenty.
Like most of you the weather has been up and down and pretty unpredictable but so far most of our new plantings - potatoes, onions, lettuce, peas, broad beans - are surviving. All the best for the upcoming season. These are our espaliered pears in full blossom - we're hoping the bees are doing their thing and bringing us a good crop.
