The wind is back today, there are things I'd like to get done in the garden but mother nature has other ideas. The sun is out though, it's warm, and my washing would of almost been dry as soon as I hung it out, so it's not all bad!
Most years flowers are some what of an after thought, I get so busy with the vege side of growing they often miss out.
But not this year! I have planted all the flowers (and more) I'm wanting, to be sure they didn't miss out, I sowed them at the same time as I done my fist batch of summer Seeds. Go me!
When I sow vege seeds I'm pretty terrible at reading the seed packets, as I know what depth to plant and that the majority of them need covered. When it comes to flower seeds, I have learnt to read the packet carefully, as some need light to germinate.
Most of these flowers will go in my flower beds, but I also like to grow them among my vege garden. Not only because they look pretty with the greenery but also for the benefits of attracting beneficials and deterring less disirables.
I'm pretty sure I will have excess flowers come planting time, but it's nice to be able to share them with friends and family.
