Well let me tell you... I learnt a lot on Saturday.
I learnt the a cubic metre of compost is a lot more than what I pictured in my mind. Not the first time I have purchased this but it seems I forget not long after unloading just how much it is.
I learnt definitively that I cannot reverse a trailer. My lawn is a testament to this fact and that is also why I am offloading with a wheelbarrow.
I learnt that the weather forecast is a actual thing and my ability to predict the weather is not. Turns out thinking the day will be sweet simply because Friday was good, is not good science!
I learnt that if you leave the car window open in the rain, the inside of the car gets wet. I know, crazy stuff eh, who would have guessed that one.
I learnt that getting too much compost is not necessarily a bad thing. The excess is great for filling in the massive ruts in your lawn if you have my same trailer skills.
But most importantly, I learnt that I am a very lucky man to have a loving wife that accepts me as I am even after all of the above and was prepared to come out in the rain and help.
