Smashing pumpkins

We had a great time growing giant pumpkins scored ourselves a 3rd in the giant pumpkin competition and they have been fun outdoor decor for ages but they were starting to go down hill so Jamison and I grabbed the sledge hammers and smooshed them I saved a heap of seed , not all though as the seed is a natural dewormer and the rest was all feed to our kune kune pig , and the chooks will clean up the mess on the lawn . The first pumpkins have just germinated to .
chickens are laying up a storm and I really need to stop putting them in my pocket it's only a matter of time before I either lean on or pick something up and it will end in a yolks pocket .
And this poor wee cauli has had neglect I can only assume because it's a bit under the ledge of the raised bed it hasn't had consistent watering , I have never had this before am I right or is it something else ?
