This is our second vegetable area - there are 5 raised beds, a fence garden, glasshouse, compost bins, worm farm and our lovely 6 ladies aka the chooks.
Compared to the other area of gardens, this is a lot more shady due to a peach tree we have and the neighbours trees, but over the years I've been learning how to work it to our advantage especially with the super warm norwesters that Canterbury gets, this garden provides a good place for leafy greens to grow over summer without bolting too fast!
I can't wait to get some of my spring plantings started - definitely with some of the more cold hardy ones to begin with.
