A perfect spring day in Whanganui today and, as promised, SH tilled the potato patch and we planted three rows of agria potatoes. A good sprinkle of potato fertiliser raked in before burying our chitted seed spuds and then a protective covering of netting to keep the cats off the newly dug soil (which they see as an attractive toilet). We're good to go!! Showers are forecast for Monday so hopefully they'll get a good start. The photo is SH in all his sartorial garden glory! (Sorry James the lawn is still recovering from winter flooding!)
