Taties Tucked up Tight!

After blogging last night about the crazy weather we have decided to be safe rather than sorry. Tonight after dinner when the southerly had died down, we tucked up our potatoes in anticipation of a possible frost tomorrow with a forecast 2 degree low overnight.

On the right are our Swift in tyres. The leaves are starting to spill over the sides of the tyres which are now two high and will be left to form lots of yummy new potatoes (hopefully)

On the left is our main crop. Three rows of Agria which have just had their second "heaping" but have leaves poking through which would be susceptible to frost damage. They will have a third "heaping" before we leave them to develop so definitely need protecting from frost at this stage.

Old saying: "Better safe than sorry"
