I am fully aware that I made some over-fertilising mistakes when I planted my carrots this year. SH had ploughed the bed beautifully and I went and put blood and bone and general garden fert on top. The carrots had no reason to grow deep, they just wanted to branch out and enjoy the feast. This guy however seems to have gone a little overboard!!
