This morning I finally cleaned up and soaked where the old shed was , and put the first few layers down for the new no dig garden , there were loads of leaves which was the first layer , I accidentally upset a very pregnant skink so I quickly layered up some bits of wood , stones leaves etc and moved her over , she seemed to appreciate it .
Next layers were grass clippings , home made compost then some hay , it's had a good soak , I will be planting corn and pumpkins in here , I re sowed more corn as only 3 germinated from the older seed .
We covered the potatoes that came away unscathed despite 2 light frosts .
Then I moved onto the tree line , a load of metal waste is on the trailer for recycling next week , I gave away to old mowers and a huge roll of bird netting .
I really am enjoying this season somehow it feels like despite having less $$$ than this time last year I feel more fortunate .
